Filming TV images(my own)-skipping the "lines"

I am trying to film a scene that will be played on a television, and then filming the playing television with that scene. I want the scene to look like the room is empty, and the tv has a "reflection" of the room. How can I shoot this in a way that gets rid of the "refresh" lines I call them, basically that bar that scrolls up the screen when shooting a tv image? Speed up/slow down film rate somehow?

my camera has a setting for this.. Iv not used it, but its a tweak to the shutter speed I think..

Probably easier to do it in post. The TV Frame has a nice solid reference, for tracking.

Yep, frame rate on the camera has to be the same as a TV. Someone will know, but I think it's 30 FPS.

Play around with camera speed a bit. Hadn't thought about doing in post. Try the film speed, see how it works.

I think you ll get the frame rate lined up. Seems to me, getting a good reflection off of the screen with something playing on the tv is the hard part.. I'm curious to see how that works.
