film-school film school

Well most film schools are hard to get into. They want serious talent. Whether or not film school is worth it has been discussed a lot in many other threads, but if this film school just accepts anybody, I don't think its very good.

It's your typical trade school. You pay them, you take their courses,
you get a certificate of completion. I've never heard bad things about
them. $11,000 is a lot of money for this type of program in my
opinion. I hope it's worth it for you, too.

Keep us informed on how you like it, okay?

I mean the main reason i'd want to go there is to have access to equipment whenever i need to and to be around older people that love what i love, most people i hang around are still in highschool/freshman in college, like me but just don't look old enough for the roles i need filled in most things i write. im going to think this over a little, i really wish i could self-fund my stuff but money is just so tight now a days

It's going to be tough for you. There are people who have made movies on a budget less than what you're going to spend on film school.

It can depend on how intuitive you are. Me personally, I'm a learned kind of guy. I rarely figure out how to do something unless I'm looking for that solution or have been taught/read about it. Therefore I read a lot and watch a lot of tutorials.

Would I give up my film school experience in exchange for real world experience. That's a tough one. I'd say no, but back when I did film school, it was a lot cheaper. It was before all the hooha fanfare was out there about film schools and only cost me about $2k a year... Which come to think of it, in today dollars probably comes out to move than $11k.

Some people best learn by doing, others best learn in a learning environment. Which are you?
