Film Makers and Websites

I look at this thread and click on your name. This pop up box appears. I don't know what the "D" stand for, but Send DM means you want to send a private message to another member, using this pop up box.

Next, I click on Z-Art-Tone in that same box, and the screen below appears. I can now look at your Status, Activity, Posts, and anything you wrote about yourself in the "About" section.

Ok. Thanks for that explanation.

Photographers often have their own websites to promote their work. Is this also common among Independent film makers or not so much?
Most of the Indie guy's I deal with have a locked Vimeo account. When they want me to see thier work, they send my the password. There's no public scrutiny of thier work.
If I want to find someone but I don't know who, I search Linkedin, and reach out. Pretty much everybody who works behind the camera has a Linkedin.
