Film festivals for young composers...

Hello,

I recently completed a short film with an original score that was produced by a young, student composer.

I'd like to know if anyone knows of any film festivals that program short films that feature original scores. It'd be great if the festival(s) also has a competition for young composers.

Anyone know of any?

Indie Gathering, in Hudson, Ohio, which is outside of Cleveland.

They actually have a score competition. You can just submit the music score on CD I believe, but I think you have to score a sample trailer they have on their web page.

Last year the winner was from Dubai and traveled all the way from there to the U.S.

The festival directors are two of the nicest people you could ever meet.
