Feedback for Parody Contest

I am trying to host this parody contest and right now I am trying to get feedback of what people feel about parodies.

Are people not interested, very interested, worried about legal issues of parodies?

What is the communities opionon of parodies?
 
I love parodies, the dumber the better, that's what they are meant to be. They have to be done to well known movies or shows in my view to fully get the effect. I don't think there are a lot of legal issues with pardoies if I recall right. Check out this link for more info on the legal issues http://www.publaw.com/parody.html
 
Since they usually parody something or someone famous they are for the masses, and not usually indie films, or of the indie mindset.
