Features Sought for UK Sales/Distribution

Pulp Movies are a new UK based sales agency looking for content for UK DVD, TV & VOD distribution.

Unlike most other sales agencies we are a little different… we are film makers who have been through the ringer and know how hard and expensive it can be.

So Pulp Movies was born – a sales agency specialising in independent genre movies that is Honest, Open and Dedicated to making your movie a success.

Got a film you think we’d like to see? Great… however to make life easy for all of us we have some specific requirements you Must be able to meet before we can even consider your film, no matter how good it is! :

The film Must be a genre movie – that’s what we know and that’s what we can sell. So action, horror, thriller, even black comedies are more than welcome. They must have a hook also… something that will make people take notice.

You Must meet the delivery requirements - you must have a digi-beta master with M&E mix, all legal contracts for cast, crew & music, have artwork and production stills.

Finally you must have the rights to release the film in the UK. We offer no up front’s but a generous profit share which has seen previous filmmakers that have worked with us actually see money for the films they make!

What next? Simply you have to be able to WOW us!

We want a 50 word pitch of what your movie is about, and another 50 on what makes it different from every other film out there! Send that with a JPG Poster image that really sells your film to us and ideally a link to your trailer or promo or website.

Within 14 days we will let you know if we are interested and then discuss next steps.

Send this to wecanwowyou@pulp-movies.co.uk

In Dec 2007 I contacted you when you asked for finished features.
I contacted you again in April when you asked for content.
Neither time did you reply with even a “No thanks” - something I
expect from sales agencies.

I meet all of your criteria and as a fellow indietalk member I
hoped I would at the very least get a little “No thank you”
consideration.

A “Thanks but no thanks” is what would make a sales agency appear
honest and open. As a filmmaker yourself I’m sure you empathize
with that.
