What are some of the favorites here for PC based movie editing software for under $150? I imagine it would be important to synch the audio easily for a newbie, if I actually end up using an external device to record the audio part of my movies. Im kind of worried about adding that headache to the project. I hear the Sony Movie Maker software is reasonable.

Lightworks for windows $0 .. many feature movies were edited using that software I use Cinelerra...on Linux free as well as the OS
