F#%king Triple Play

Does this annoy anyone else?

I've still got a gift voucher from Christmas so I was looking at what films I could buy. Why do distributors insist on selling me the DVD when all I want is the Blu-Ray? I don't even own a DVD player. I have a Blu-Ray player. To watch the DVD, I'd have to put it into my Blu-Ray player! There are quite a few films out that I'd consider buying, but the fact that they come with a DVD annoys me to the point that I don't want to buy them! I think it's the branding on the package that gets me. If they just slipped the DVD in and didn't tell me about it, I don't think I'd mind so much.

Sorry for the rant!

They did this specifically with the recently re-issued Beauty & The Beast. Released it ONLY as DVD and BR. Jackass move IMO, how many mothers of young children can afford blu ray players and HD TV's?

A buddy of mine loves it like that.

The packages he gets come with the Blue Ray, a regular DVD and a copy as MP4 for his i-pood, or i-whatever.

He'll watch at his place on the HDTV; if we're screening at my place, he brings the DVD; if he's on the road it takes seconds to load up his portable player.

Maybe it's marketing to the people who want to get hi-def later on, but who can't afford fancy new tvs right now? Dunno.

I work in Asda and get no end of complaints about it. Thats the only reason i don't like them, and the fact they're like £2 more expensive for the stuff you don't really want.

I don't like having to make up a story to keep people happy :(

"Well it's because it's the easiest way to suck more money out of you really, so go to Amazon if you don't like it, or other places on the internet to download it for free. I really just want you to stop bothering me."
