I'm looking for some professional software to copy VOB files from film footage I have on a DVD to a editable video file. Nothing that's freeware and illegal of course. Most DVD rip software are used illegally and I just want something to convert a few short films I did to my computer that I saved on a DVD master I made awhile back. I tried pulling the VOB files off the disk to Adobe Premiere Elements but it skips a lot even though playing the video file as is plays fine and doesn't skip anything. Any Suggestions?

Is the project file the same dimensions as the vob file?
Do you need to conform the vob file?
Try using Handbrake to convert vob to straight mpeg2? (vob is an mpgeg2, but maybe get rid of the vob part)
