DVD Burn

Hi,

I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm a bit desperate. I edited with FCPX, color-graded with Magic Bullet and used Compressor 4. I just burned a copy and it looks absolutely horribly. I used the Compressor settings given from an instructional youtube video that worked for many others. All the colors were very creamy.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction? I just have a few days to get this burned for a festival. How can I burn a copy that is presentable? I want to avoid Withoutabox.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

I have a DVD-R. I was under the impression that I could just burn my project onto this and the quality would hold up...apparently not. What kind of tools are you talking about? What specifically?

Also...I mean I don't mind buying something that will give me the same burn as what the screen looks like on FCPX. Any suggestions? I was just trying to burn from my iMac disc drive.

Maybe this will help someone instead of relying on cunts like wheatgrinder that troll out cheap jokes.

Wow... somebody sounds like they need to get laid or something. You make a vague and ambiguous post about a problem you're having, and when Wheat asks for clarification you spew some sophomoric crap out of your piehole. Don't be acting like some illegal who snuck across the border late one night from Panorama City and start with that rightious indignation and "YOU OWE ME" entitlement attitude. Your North Hollywood posturing puts you one short block away from some slime filled Sun Valley quarry, Scooter.

BTW, since Wheat's already the c**t, can I be the fat old prick? It would fit well with my attitude and 'I don't give a rat's ass' outlook.

whatever, it was a serious question.

I'm sure OP knows that DVD video is Standard Def and not HD.
I'm sure OP understands DVD will NEVER look as good as his FCPX screen if hes working with HD material.
I'm sure OP knows that DVD video is interlaced and looks better on a device made to deal with interlace video, such as a TV.
I'm sure OP knows that some DVD players have up-scaling functions that do things to make SD DVD's look better.
I'm sure OP knows that some DVD players play back data.
I'm sure OP knows the difference between data DVD and DVD for video.
I'm sure OP knows that BluRay and DVD are different formats.

Other than that, I got nothin..

For burning on a Mac I suggest DVD burning tool from AppGeeker. I've gotten much better picture quality from what I've used previously (iDVD).

You can download from: http://www.appgeeker.com/convert/burn-mp4-to-dvd.html

It is very easy to use. The are straight forward button that tell you if you want to burn or other things.
