I understand what you mean gonzo, but come on, you have to admit it was fun. And to me at least, that's all it's about. Who the hell cares if it was "a work of art" if nobody had fun watching it. I thought Justin Long's performance wasn't bad at all. This movie was the perfect experience. When I wasn't laughing, I was scared, and when I wasn't scared, I was laughing. I loved it.
i havent seen this movie, nor do i plan on it, but i just want to comment on the 'boo' factor in film. I think it's ridiculous. anyone can cut to a creepy face and make a loud sound to scare a crowd. and i stress... ANYONE. But you have to have talent to stay away from that and really scare a crowd. that's what i want to see. the boo factor is cheap, it takes no talent or creativity. BORING and KITSCH.
