This has been asked a zillion times, I'm sure :)

I've already shot my crowd funding package and now doing the budget for the project. What's the average rate for a DP who comes with his own HD equipment? The short will be shot in one day in one location. This is an LA shoot likely on a Saturday.

What's your budget? What camera are you looking for? What skill level are you wanting? I've seen or heard of DPs (without bringing any equipment) go for anywhere from $650-$5,000 per day.
