Documentary on Copyrighted material

Hey I'm looking at doing a documentary on a video game and how it has affected the people who play it. What type of legal permissions do I need to obtain from the company?

You need to obtain written permission to use their copywritten game, and trademark logos and graphics for the game itself too.
