The very least you can say is that I was right during the period of some of his best work...
I think Eyes Wide Shut is just as solid as 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Just agree to disagree. The thing is most of this argument is over one movie that can honestly be seen through both opinions. People can look at Eyes Wide Shut and see realsim in the performances, while others only see surrealism. Let's just attribute that to the fact that we don't have Kubrik here to tell us what he was striving for.

Of course people learn as they grow older, but you can't deny that during the time of some of his best known and loved work, he did seem to support my view of realistic acting...

But, agreed, we've talked it to death, lol. Tony, when you reach heaven, you can ask him yourself. :D
