I've been studying speed effects in slow motion done on True Blood and Smallville and seem to believe they must be greenscreening the backgrounds because the characters running at super speeds do not disturb backgrounds as when I raamp up the frame rate with Vegas.
I thinking we should shoot speed effects in greenscreen in the future to have the same control over the super fast characters and their backgrounds as a studio production.
That way, I can slow up people in the background layer by reducing the frame rate and have the greenscreened character moving at normal sspeeds with motion trails.
