Digital voice recoder and iMovie

What model of digital voice recorder works seemlessly with iMovie. I am now shooting with 2 Canon VIxia hf r30 cameras? Other options for 'simple' clean' sound? Pehaps even an older Canon with non-tape camcorder? Ideas? Cheers

Zoom H1 or any recorder that gets decent sound
There are tutorials on YTube on how to import audio thru iTunes to add to your library then add to IMovie project.
