Developing a Webseries

So i am in the process of developing a web series it will be a 6 episode a season web series and will be shooting each season at a time.

It will be cheap and done with unknown actors and a passionate crew.

What are some of the cameras that would be idle for a web series. The web series will be a run and gun type show and have lots of hand held shots.

Canon 5D Mark iii
Canon XH A1

Are these cameras idle for what i want to do ? Looking for a relatively cheap camera between $1'000-$2'0000

I wouldn't do a 5D for run and gun unless your camera op is really good at pulling focus.

It is a web series based on urban legend hunters... so it will be lots of interviewing and all that kinda stuff basically documenting various urban legends such as big foot and all that kinda stuff/

mimic a reporter going around each episode and dispelling urban legends

Think of what camera a reporter would use to go around dispelling
urban legends would use.

Most likely not a DSLR - not for that kind of ENG work.

That's a pretty sweet looking camera.

that's a camera I had my eyes on a while ago for corporate/industrial work. one of the features I like is the dual SD slots so the client can walk away with a copy of all the footage. And if I'm not mistaken there's built-in memory, too. No, not a DSLR but a good little HD rig with XLR outs.
