Demo Reel tear down

Hey everyone,
I've been putting my first demo reel together and looking for some suggestions on what I should change and other things...

Thank you everyone in advance! :)

I liked it for the most part - the music was appropriate, and it was the perfect length.

However, the comparisons in the beginning were quite jarring. I would consider seamlessly cutting them - so that the pan around the robot, for instance, appeared like a single shot: adding in the new elements at intervals.

Other than that, great job, Dima :)

I agree.. instead of a bunch of different shots of the same thing, I'd just include a single shot of the completed work, and then a breakdown of the work involved, or the other way around. I tend to prefer the completed shot, then jump back to the clean plate, and build up the effect, and show the completed shot again.

The only other input I would give is that generally reels focus on one discipline, rather than everything as you've done here. So, a compositing/vfx reel. A colorist reel. A directoral reel, or editor reel, etc..

This looks more like a promotional tool for your own business and/or freelance work though rather than a specialized reel to be hired for a particular thing, so maybe that doesn't really matter.

Will, I ll definitely try your suggestion out. My only concern is going over 90 sec, with using 4 breakdown clips instead of three. But I ll try it out anyways :)
Yes, this is more of a freelance reel / production company, rather than a specific targeted job. I should have pointed that out in the original message.
Thank you for checking the video out and your your valuable input!
