What can someone tell me about getting digital film prepared for DCP projection at theater? What are the costs and specs needed. I understand the final product is projected from hard drive?

It really depends on the viewing theatre and how it's set up.
Your options are to use a 16:9 spec in the DCP or crop to a notebook traditional aspect.

Next time shoot 1.85:1

Thank you for your words. But I still have one last question. I have read an article said Moondog Labs 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter for iPhone 5s can make 2.40:1 aspect ratio from the original 16:9 for DCP. As far as I know, even though you used adapter, you still can not change the original source. The video which made by Iphone is still 1920*1080. Why can Moondog Labs change it?
