After over two years since the end of a run of 35 consecutive short films, we at Dastoli Digital are finally ready to unveil our first feature legnth film "Who Stole the Electric Car?" This film is in the process of getting distribution and the DVD should be on sale starting October 10. I wanted to get the word out ahead of time and encourage all who are interested to learn more about the film at www.whostoletheelectriccar.com or join the facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=18376382568. Or for that matter follow the movie on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/electricmovie(we've got a marketing team working on this--I'm not actually the one tweeting).
The movie is a buddy-road-trip-comedy about an average guy who steals a prototype electric car and drives it cross-country to win back his environmentalist girlfriend before she moves to Africa. It deals with the idea of progress being stifled by corporations and advertising, and while we are marketing it to electric car enthusiasts, etc., I think it is also important to get the word out to independent film fans. One of the things that excited me the most about making the movie is that it takes place in the year 1995, which gave us the opportunity for countless fun period references (Windows 3.1, Sega Saturn, Crystal Pepsi--the list is endless!), which I think many of the people on this forum would appreciate. So take a look, and I'll be sure to post when the DVD has gone on sale.
