Crowdfunding Expreiences!

As I reach the end of my Indiegogo campaign (see link below), I'm curious as to who in here also turned to crowdfunding sites (like Indiegogo or Kickstarter) to fund their films?

What did you need the money for? How much were you asking? Were you able to reach your goal? What were your strategies in making the campaign and marketing? Any lessons learned or any discoveries made during the experience? Tell me your stories! I'd love to hear them.

As far as crowd funding goes I worked on a Kickstarter campaign for the LARPS the series. It was a very impressive campaign. We raised over 40 thousand dollars.

I learned that it's usually a lot easier to reach your goal when you already start off with a lot of funders to begin with.
