Cork Film Festival Call For Entries

The 50th Cork Film Festival is now accepting entries from filmmakers all over the world.
The festival will run from 9–16 October 2005.

Entries are invited in the following categories:
Feature Films
Documentaries
Short Films
We welcome all forms of film production – animation, experimental, student work, digital work, etc.

Cork is competitive for shorts only and to be eligible for competition, films must have been completed since 1 July 2003 and be 30 minutes or less in duration.

Entries must be submitted on VHS videotape (PAL, NTSC or SECAM), DVD or CD ROM for pre-selection.
THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE.

Festival screening formats are 16mm, 35mm, Beta tape (Pal only), Digibeta, DVD or CD ROM.

The closing date for receipt of entries is 1 July 2005.

Yes, welcome CORK FILM FESTIVAL!

Cork is a beautiful city to host this great event. I attended University College, Cork and Crawford School of Art, there.

Man, if any of you guys here show there, you should make a real effort to attend. (I seem to remember a grant given specifically for 'travel' to such events, if you're showing). When I find it, I'll post.

EDIT: Ah, hells bells, I couldn't find the one I was thinking of, but I googled 'travel grants for artists' and got about 400,000 results, soooo......
