Compressing video

My goal it to take a HDV video and compress it down so that I will be able to put more content online. I currently compress my video with apple compressor (h.264), and the file sizes are so big I feel like I cant fit that much content online. Are there any methods where I can compress it down more or convert it to DV. The camera I am using is a GYHM100?

What kind of sizes are you talking? Compressor will give you a prediction of how big the final file will be, so you can play with the bitrate and resolution and try and get it down to what you think is acceptable.
