editing Color Correction Final Cut 7

Hello forum!

So I directed a music video, and now im on the editing portion. and out of all the videos i've ever done. i have NEVER color corrected. And the sole reason is because i dont know how!

I've been watching videos on youtube and figuring how to use the color correction effect but i would just like to know your tips and tricks when using it?

How you find that perfect picture.

I would really appreciate any and all input.
