editing CLOSED CAPTIONS

Hey, I'm new, so sorry if I'm not doing this right :)

I have a documentary film that was selling on Createspace for years, and now must migrate to Amazon Video Direct. AVD requires Closed Captions, which I had done years ago prior to PBS broadcast. My film master is on a Digibeta and has both CC and Audio Descriptions.

I had the Digibeta put on a thumb drive and I uploaded it to AVD, but apparently there was no CC file. I don't get exactly how the CC works in terms of it being baked in or a separate file.

Anyway, I need to figure out how to use the CC's and AD that were done before and get them uploaded to AVD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I work on a mac in both FCPx and Adobe Premiere Pro CC if that helps.

Thank you in advance!
Ejay

Here's a sample form a cc file I had to prepare for a movie I uploaded to Amazon.com (They have since taken it down.). It's an SRT file. Look it up to get the specs. I think Premier lets you make the file within the program now, but I'm not sure. I made mine using a simple text editor.
