Should I got with the Blackberry Curve 9330 which is free with a 2 year contract or the iPhone 8GB which is $99 with a 2 year contract?
Kind of depends on what you use your phone for. I, myself, prefer my BlackBerry over my iphone but I also use it as to write and draft things and don't really play games or watch videos /movies on my phone.
For business purposes, the Blackberry continues to reign supreme, though I'm not sure of the specific model you're eyeballing. Also, I think it's supremacy is due only to relatively low-cost. The iPhone is so much better, in every respect.
For personal purposes, absolutely nothing even compares to the iPhone. This is like choosing between DiGiorno and Totino's frozen pizza. Spend a hundred bucks, get the iPhone, I promise you'll be happy with it.
And then watch this movie, on your iPhone.![]()

A matter of opinion - I still think that the blackberry (Bold 9900) still offers the best emailing, drafting/writing experience out there for any phone, hands down.
And, not to hijack the thread, but I never really understood the point of watching videos/tv/movies on a phone - its such a small screen (after the years of pushing to 50"+ 1080p screens). I guess I am just an old fuddy duddy that prefers to watch his videos and movies on his television screen (and yes, I succumbed to 50"+ 1080 p pressure)
Nope, sorry, my opinions are actually fact.
As you mentioned, the Blackberry tends to be better for sending emails. In fact, for sending emails, I would choose a droid, with a physical keyboard, over the iPhone, any day.
But for personal usage, email isn't such a huge priority for most people. That's more of a business thing. For personal usage, the iPhone KILLS the Blackberry. The apps, the touch-screen, the internet browser, taking pics, shooting video, google-maps, watching videos, battery-life, reception, texting, it is incomparable to any other product out there.
And yes, you are an old fuddy-duddy if you don't enjoy watching video on your iPhone. The convenience is great. You're having a water-cooler conversation with friends/coworkers. Somebody mentions the latest hilarious cat video on youtube. Oh, guess what? Instead of maybe trying to remember to watch it later, you can all watch it NOW, and have a shared youtube-cat-video experience!![]()
