Car scene

Hi,

This is not finished yet. It's only a 3 second clip of a larger scene I'm working on.
What do you think of it overall? Composition/lighting/grading/stabilization...etc.?

Another test with a larger number of trees. Different lighting setup.
Motion blur is turned off, so less cinematic look.

can i just say "DAMN" you are great!! i mean when i saw the 4 second clip i thought you were using 2 cars, and you were talking about the lighting, but that looks awesome for CG

Here's another angle with higher render settings at 960x540. How do you like the mood of it? There's just a subtle color grading.
Sorry for posting such a short clip, it's just 1 second long, but it was taking forever to render...

It's really difficult because they are so short. The night one certainly appears somewhat more realistic than the warm color grade, I think perhaps the headlights are two warm.

I've only just seen this post, but just my input on the very original shot, the perfect stillness is and allignment with the car is the main thing that made me call CG before I read the comments. Pausing also reveals the lack of detail of the ground behind the car.

But hey, I like it :)

The first one is really nice. Sound also adds value. What rendertime on what machine?

Thank you. Rendertime was huge, about 18 minutes per frame (so the clip took 10 hours to render). I bet I can optimize the scene and cut the rendertime by using loewr poly trees and changing a few parameters.
PC is i7 2600k 16Gig RAM.

I'm talking about the last clip (car passing by test).
