Canon XF 300 Cam Corder

Greetings-

I am about to purchase a Canon XF 300 CAMCORDER to shoot a documentary that will be utilized at film festivals, on PBS, and on the WEB.

Can anyone provide any do's and don'ts regarding this camera? Suggested recording media/ memory, batteries, additional accessories, tripod mounts, etc.

Using it for mostly interview settings, street shots, hand held shots, some green screen.

PBS and XF300

I am also considering purchasing a Canon XF300 to film a nature documentary. In doing my homework, I see that PBS requires raw footage be shot with cameras using three 1/2-inch diagonal sensors or better, whereas the XF300 only has three 1/3-inch sensors. This camera is good enough for the BBC, so do you know if PBS will air it despite not meeting their technical specs?
