Camera?!

Okay we*as in my grandparents* have jus a camcorder would this be okay to film the movie on?! Also i need a program i could go into & edit/add sound/effects to the movies.

avid makes a free editing package for editing DV footage (if the camera has a firewire/ieee1394/i.link port on it). The PC if new enough should have a FW port as well (or a card is cheap)...the avid package is at:

or windows movie maker

These are free...there are some pay ones, but it sounds like you're just looking to get your feet wet first.
