The second Algonquin Indiefest will be held in New Hope, Bucks County, PA and Lambertville, NJ January 30- February 1. 2004.
So far, our guest speaker line up includes our HOOPLA! Award winner ,Susan Seidelman ("Desperately Seeking Susan"), Jonathan Estrin (Current Dean of Media Arts & deisgn at Drexel University, and writer for "Cagney & Lacey"), and Jim Breckenridge of Playcrafters ( screenwriting seminars). Our featured speaker and HOOPLA! Award winner in 2003 went to Ted Tally, the Academy -award winning screenwriter of "The Silence of the Lambs".
Our call for entry is open until September 30, 2003. Our categories include: narrative, documentary, animated, short and feature-length. Please submit your entry to: Algonquin Indiefest, P.O. Box 504, Warrington, PA 18976, and include the following:
1) Your work on DVD or VHS, labeled with your name, title of the movie, running time and an email address/phone number.
2 )A letter telling us how to get in touch with you.
3) SASE postcard if you would like acknowledgement of receipt of your work.
4) SASE envelope if you would like your work returned to you.
5) Any other relevant information you would like to send.
6) A $30 check or money order, payable to Algonquin Indiefest . For students, the fee is $15, with a photocopy of your Student ID.
7) Press kit.
