ATTENTION FILMMAKERS!


PLANET ANT THEATRE is making a CALL FOR ENTRIES for the third annual PLANET ANT FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL. The 2005 Festival will take place in June 16th through June 19th at multiple high-profile venues in Detroit including Planet Ant Theatre and new this year Detroit’s Majestic Theatre.

The 2005 PLANET ANT FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL is a celebration of independent movies and the people who make them. In addition to traditional films and shorts, this year’s festival will include screenings of music videos, experimental films and animation. Industry professionals and university and film school faculty will take part in our panel of judges, workshops, and seminars.

This is a festival for independent filmmakers by independent filmmakers. Our goal is to provide you a big screen to show your work on and a gathering place for a free exchange of ideas!

It is a great show that officially opens tonight and if anyone is in the Detroit area, I cannot recommend it enough. If you couldn't tell from the website Planet Ant is also a theatre that for almost ten years has been putting on some of the most original productions in the mid-west and our adaptation of Poe's Fall of the House of Usher should prove to be no different.
