Buying my first camera.

Hey i have a budget of $1500 to put towards a new camera.
I'm not truly experienced but i want to get as much bang for my buck.
I intend to film music videos for local bands, film skateboarding, and make shorts.
Any suggestions on a camera will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

I personally enjoy JVC ,not the most expencive , but the quality is killer. I spent 800.00 ,and as far as I'm concerned it is worth every penny.
