Hmm...Uncompressed 1920X1080 4:2:2 from your HDMI or SDI output for $330.00 + drive? The price is now low enough for me to seriously consider this option for once.

For example, you can take an HDV camera like the Canon HV20/30/40 and turn it into a beast and/or still use the unit on other higher end cameras you might own with an SDI or HDMI out.

You can fit about 17 minutes on a 128MB 2.5" SSD drive which isn't great, but hey, it's uncompressed. Just thought I'd share this with you folks.

17 minutes uncompressed on a 128 MB? But how! The Studio HD stuff I work with does a 1.27GB per minute. HOW!!!!!!

Actually, I had a figure of 445 GB/hr for 10 bit 4:2:2 which would be 7+ GB/minute. I would love it if it were smaller.

Imagine if they made a 128 MB ssd?
