i know that ProRes and DNxHD sre most popular

They are the most popular because they're intermediate codecs, they are specifically designed for editing! Most NLEs will accept a variety of codecs for editing but ProRes and DNxHD are preferred professionally because they avoid the issues inherent with the common long GOP codecs.

ProRes 4:2:2 HQ. That's what the distributors will want as the delivery format.
