Best camera for my money?

Right guys, I've finally run into a disposable budget of £2000 which I'm hoping to spend on a video camera. Looking for one with all the nice features, manual focus etc. Would any not recommend me buying one second hand? As I'm looking to get the best for my money, I'm considering browsing second hand cameras. Was thinking at first a second hand PD170, but the image isn't as sharp as I'd like on those. Preferably would like a HD...

Any suggestions?

2000 rubles will buy you something much better than the puny PD170. How about a pair of GH2's? multiple coverage, back up, not bad!

It would help if we knew what you intended to use the camera for. There isn't really single camera out there that's great for everything, especially in that price range.

I wouldn't buy second hand unless it was like a month old. Stuff obsoletes too fast and you never know where a used camera has been. The guy might have been at the beach every day making surf videos.

I'd get a 60d. But that's me. And don't trust my opinion, I'm a sound guy, but I hear great things about a 60d

A good DSLR package probably makes the most sense for that money if you intend to make shorts and cinematic type things. Maybe a 60D or 7D if you want to spend more of the money on that.
