If you are referring to the DXA-5DA or the DXA-SLR there really isn't much point if you are using dual system audio (recording to the H4n or other separate recorder). No matter how you work it you are still using the (crappy) preamps of the camera and there is no way to directly monitor the audio. You may want to consider the Rode VideoMic or VMP for capturing a better quality scratch/sync track; it makes it easier for plugs like PluralEyes, etc. to sync audio from an external recorder.

If you want to spend some money on audio put it into another mic - if you have a shotgun get a cardioid, if you have a cardioid get a shotgun. If you have both get a real boom-pole if you don't have one, serious wind protection if you do. Oh, get some really nice headphones if you don't already have a pair.
