Batteries for field shoots?

Hi, all.

What kinds of power-sources do you use for field shoots, aside from gas-powered genies, etc? (the forum search only seems to search for blog posts, so I couldn't find anything on this)

I'm trying to figure out if there's some kind of smaller, quiet battery that can be used to power some lights for a couple hours... one that doesn't cost a fortune (like over $200).

I used a car battery, and just bought a converter to turn into AC power. Just watch out for the Watts.

Oh, I see. Any idea how long a car battery lasts with a powerful floodlight? Naturally, each one is different, but are we usually talking about like half an hour, an hour, a whole night?

Right now, I'm trying to figure out, also, if there are any good lead acid battery packs, or anything like that, that you can just plug stuff into.

The drop-down search box has two fields. The top one is for forum posts (which you must have missed somehow) and the bottom one is for searching blogs. It definitely is there.

Dunno about batteries, though.

Yeah, I missed that. I'm so used to other forums, I automatically just pull down the search menu, snag the first search box I see, and assume I'm good to go.
