Hello All,
I posted awhile back about some of the things I wanted with my first cam. I undoubtedly decided that down the road I will be getting a Panasonic HMC40. Solid state, 1080p, hdmi out, manual controls.
But for now, I want to start experimenting with different shots and locations, and the best two camcorders that I found that were cheap to start off with is either the Panasonic GS320 and JVC DV500US.
Both are mini dv, so I am familiar with this format. Both I can get both for around $250 bucks.
I know the GS320 does not have mic output but seems to have a slight edge in resolution. I do like that the JVC has more manual focus controls, but does not have 16:9.
What are your opinions?
Thanks!
