audio track seperation.

I still can't seem to separate these damn audio tracks in sony vegas pro 12.

I recored with a Marantz PMD 661 and used dual mono
mode to have a second audio track to use as a safety
precaution.

but I can't seem to find a way to separate them. any pointers?

Right click on the audio event and select channels>left-only or right-only. If you have a stereo pair that you need to separate to use both (say, two actors lavs on separate channels), you first need to duplicate the audio, then make one left-only and the other right-only.
