Anything wrong with this script?

My Richard Head movie should be in production next month however i am a bit concerned about some of the cast. When they show an interest and ask me to email the script, then i never hear anymore more from them! This is very annoying as i will never know their opinion and what they are thinking!

The film is about a nutcase filmmaker called Richard Head whose making a film, and it shows all the situations he and the cast get into...(comedy).

If anyone is interested in having a read please send me a pm and i shall send it over and please let me know if you think its good, bad, controversial, outrageous, or crap. Thank you.

Are they your friends? Chances are they haven't read it yet, because they're lazy. It happens to me quite a bit. Try sending them a reminder, or scheduling an audition date, so they know they have a deadline.

I wouldn't mind checking it over. My email is godofwine007 ~at~ gmail (dot) communist. com. dot com. gmail.com. Sorry about all that- I have a relatively spam free enviroment there and I'd like to keep it that way.

Some of them are my friends. Others are actors i have only just met so i don't know what their like to work with. However its a bank holiday here in the UK today so they are probably all laid on the beach somewhere not doing very much.

Also do you have an alternative email address? As my email was returned from your address.

Well it's not really a script is it? This is like the first part of act one. I can't really give an honest opinion of something that happens later. From what you've told me this opening is just that, an opening. Do you have more written?

Sorry I haven't been able to get back to you yet. I did a quick glance through before, and realized if I was going to critique, I'd need to spend some time on it to give you proper feedback.

Unfortunately I'm working the Toronto Film Fest in a couple days and will be kept busy for the next week or two. I'll try and give it a shot again soon, but I'm also trying to finish up a script of my own.

Soon!!

Boz, well it is a script, its the first part of a four part series. Also i have numerous ideas for the later parts but nothing yet written.

Spatula, good luck at the Toronto Film Festival, wish i was there. Must remember to enter it in the future.

Well good luck! TIFF is the largest public film festival in the world. Cannes is the industry fest, Sundance is the acquision fest, and TIFF is the best for the public. You could argue it's the most important fest in the world, but why argue?

I'm just working as a front of house assistant (line wrangler if you will). It's cool though, because I got a glimpse at the programmers today, and I'm going to target Colin Geddes for submission ofmy next feature (assuming it gets done). He programs their "Midnight Madness" block, which includes things like Kung Fu flicks and cult movies. It's pretty cool to work the fest like this and get an inside scoop. Who knows who I'll meet?

But yeah- TIFF is huge- chances of getting in TIFF are about the same as Cannes or Sundance, unless you have a film that can compete with the new Arronofsky flick, The Fountain, or Borat's new flick, or Brad Pitt's latest. Apparantly Pitt is going to be attending, as well as John Waters and Micheal Moore. Last year I saw the Tommy Chong documentary... this year it looks like they have one on Cheech. Coolness. I'm excited as hell.

Brad Pitts going to be there! Wow, you are mingling with the stars!!!

My favourite Brad Pitt movie is Troy, which i remember seeing at the cinema over a year ago.

If TIFF is so high profile i imagine competition will be very high, especially for little guys like me.
