Affordable monitor for editing

Hello!

Can you please give me some advice which may be the best monitor choice for about 200$-250$? Sadly I haven't got more $, so need to find the best solution in this price range. Thanks.

What are your desires for this monitor? Resolution? Accurate color representation?

Your options are going to be pretty limited with a max budget of $250. For a bit more you could snatch one of the korean monitors (various brands) from monoprice or ebay that do 2560x1440 resolution. Color reproduction may be somewhat questionable, but certainly not any better or worse than anything you'd get from your typical big-box electronics store.

If accurate color is your biggest concern, the best ("cheap") options are going to be in the Dell Ultrasharp line (U2413 for example), but those too are going to be out of your price range, unless you can find a deal on a used one.

All of that said, your best bet is to get something with the best resolution, response time, and contrast ratio you can find/afford. There's not really a lot of difference between monitors under the $300 price point these days though, so most anything in your budget is going to be pretty similar to most anything else in your budget.
