So I'm gearing up for a shoot on the RED ONE camera and I upgraded to Adobe CS4 specifically to be able to edit RED footage, but the minimum specs are for a QUAD CORE processor and 8 gigs of RAM and a 64 bit OS... that's kinda hefty.
The D.P. shot some tests and I got the files to just kinda see what will work. Luckily, Adobe has a 45+ minute video on their site (http://tv.adobe.com/#vi+f1510v1006) that covers ALL varieties of questions, including turning the various internal source and timeline monitors resolution down and turning it all the way down to 1/8th resolution works on my dual-core, 2 gig of RAM Windows XP system.
Has anyone else started shooting with the RED and editing in Adobe?
What are your experiences like with it?
