Adjusting the iris

Set your HF200 to Av mode (Apeture Priority). You can then set the F stop, which is the iris. The lower the f stop, the more the iris is open.

Adjusting the iris is part of adjusting the exposure...the other part is adjusting the shutter. The Vixia line only allows you to manually adjust one or the other, then it automatically adjusts the other.

You'll need to do a lot of woodshedding and practicing with your camera to find settings that work for you in different situations.

When you turn on manual exposure on the HF200, it will lock the shutter and iris settings.
