A Series Proposal

I saw one when I was at a client's location. They made a proposal for an animated TV series. It had a series overview, an episode breakdown with summaries per episode, character description sheets which included illustrations of the characters, psychological profiles, and a history of each character.

I know Syd Field recommends writing character sheet for scripts a writer is working on from classes I took with him.

Can this format be used for a series of movies and webisodes too?

Distributors are looking for finished film. Not proposals to
produce a film.

Financiers are interested in the business of the project. So I
would say that the Syd Field recommended character sheet is fine
for a writer but of no interest to a financier. They want to know
how much the project is going to cost, where the money is going
and how you plan to get money back.

An established prodCo is going to be different. They have the
business plan, they have a dozen series ideas so they are pitching
the series to people already willing to give them money.

However, if you want to include your character sheets in your
proposal you should.
