$75 Wireless Lav Solution

Here is a solution I came up with using an Olympus VN-8100PC Digital Audio Recorder in place of a Wireless Lav. Not the ultimate, but it works IMO

Nice solution for the "I need a lav" situation. Just one small caution and it won't apply to too many shoots, but I used one of these to gather narration while the camera was mounted outside a vehicle. The recording was about 20 minutes long.

I found that timing inaccuracies became noticeable after about 4-5 minutes. Now, most will probably never have a shot that long, but if you do, you may have to do some manual synching in post.

Great idea anyway!
