cinematography 24p vs 25p

It shouldn't really make a huge difference especially as you can convert it in post, but it's a bit weird.

25 fps is the standard for European TV and some film and is a result of the PAL TV standard which is 50i. Unless you're buying this camera from Europe I'm not sure why it would shoot 25p.

But I might be missing a point here...?

You and me both are considering the same cam. :)

I'll wait and see a lot of test footage before I buy; and one thing that concerns me is recording audio. with this cam, I'd probably be forced to record it separately using a recorder.
