watch 10 Years From Now...

Hey everyone!

This is a short film I did recently in which I asked several students in my high school where they saw their lives ten years from now. Each person was filmed separately and all of the footage was combined to produce the embedded linked below. The entire process from conception, to filming, editing, and later publishing took roughly 24 hours. I really enjoyed the variety in responses and I think it can attest to how unique we truly are as people.

In fact, the film is designed to inspire individuality and provoke thought.

Where will YOU be in ten years?
I hope you enjoy the film!

Really good job, very interesting. Some tips: I would say to not move the Camera around so much, I tripod helps a lot and that focus in and out is no good its distracting, and try not to zoom in and out so much most film makers don't use the zoom. Very good job man you should stick with it, when I was in high school I could not make something that good, you have a gift for doing documentaries. Great work. Also very good lighting.

Thanks! Glad you liked the film.

I totally appreciate what you said. Definitely some great tips. However, for this film, the handheld / dynamic focus / zooming were all stylistic choices I made specifically for this short film. I felt as though everyone's answers were so dynamic and therefore the look of the film should be dynamic as well. Hopefully it wasn't too distracting, I'll be more conscientious next time I decide to use that effect. Thanks again for the feedback!

All the best,
Alex
