To a degree the film is very similar to other films such as Taxi Driver, though I viewed it as well done given comparisons to much of what comes out of Hollywood. My favorite scene is pretty much the same as everyone else's.
Sorry for not answering. I'm 31. It may come off as a rather young age since I have quite a lot of life ahead of me. Granted Stephan Spielberg has been making films prior to that age, but I can see where your getting at. I might upload some scripts in the future. Might resurrect the...
True. Many people these days find themselves up to their neck in debt. It not only causes alot of financial stress, but drive them to the edge. I just hope my FAFSA should it get approved doesn't lead me in the wrong direction. I myself have Autism and as a result I think if should help my...
Hi. It's been awhile since i've been on the site with everything that's been going on lately. With that in mind, earilier this year, I posted an idea for a story i'm working on called Grayland which basically was a post apocalyptic franchise I was planning to turn into a film series. In the...
Hmm. Interesting point. I myself should get to that in the future when I have the time. Anyway. I should be able to look into that. Anyway, once that's over with I found quite a few books on amazon that should grant me insight into screenwriting. Should be of use down the road.
Hmmm. Interesting proposal. Maybe down the road I could take that route.
Thank you. Yes, there are many, many difficult and risky plotlines, but in many genres and concepts big risks tend to have big pay offs.
Sorry about that. I myself couldn't help, but cite sources as I felt that they would add more detail to the imagination that I am trying to portray to the audience. I can see that many people would be hesitant to read the citations themselves. It's not something that is mandatory to...
Yes. I've gotten that response before. When I used the term post apocalyptic space opera people get the impression that it's a science fiction musical or some sort of stage play, when in reality the term Space Opera is a genre of science fiction that usually takes place outside earth. Star...
It would be pretty hard to understand without the concept document. You don't really have to read the wikipedia pages and whatnot to understand much of the story. Most of the citations are just that. Citations. However i've been taking baby steps to tread carefully in order to make sure that...
Very well. I've updated the thread with a download link to the stop. It is advised to first read the "Grayland concept document" as it will provide more context to what i'm going for. As i've said in the edit i've just made some of the content and subject matter in the story is distressing...
Thanks. As for my script i've divided each section into a chapter(much like a story book. However I also how character bios and the main concept document which i've yet to upload yet.I will when I get the details on making sure that it's safe to upload withot it being stolen. I know that for...
Thanks. Yes, my story is relatively ambitious and won't be an easy nut to crack if anything. I've added the link in the top comment in this threat to the post where I explain some details about my story. I likely will post more there in the future.
Hi. My name is Alex Shurts. Back in 2009, inspired by a video game called Deus Ex which was about a world controlling shadow government, I myself began working on Grayland, which is a post apocalyptic science fiction story that takes place across the entire universe. Originally the basic...
Hi. My name is Alex Shurts. I've been told to make a tread introducing myself. I'm here on the forums for a story i'm working that I plan to go to film school for. The story is pretty long and heckitic, but it's a post apocolyptic space opera(not musical). Imagine Star wars with Mad Max and...
