How to Deal with an Inexperienced Director?

The best thing you can do is tell the director how you feel. You've already wasted your time so whats the worst that can happen? when someone feels they know what they are doing and they clearly don't, its not right for us to just let it be especially if this person is your friend. After...

Congrats on making your film. My only input would be to be careful with all of the coverage you get for each scene, everything is so cutty and the cuts are not motivated by anything important. There is nothing wrong with letting the action play out. Your camera work has to matter, most...

Best Editing Pc for under $1,000

Although I agree with building, I would say if you can find a workstation pc they are super fast and wonderful for video editing. If not a workstation then go for a gaming pc. I currently own a gateway fx6831 and it goes above and beyound for myself and my editors needs. Best regards Devim Gibson

    $500 dollar budget for lights

My Cinematographer always seems to get his lights used. He always seems to find old moles, or arri lights. I would suggest you wait around and check on Craigslist. You will be surprised on what turns up. It would be best not to rush for a cheap light kit and regret later. If you really need to...
