This is a noob question for sure but I just want to be 100% sure of this before I start getting tracks in.... What format should I request a band to send me their track on for use in a film? I'm guessing flac but I don't want to seem like a clown if I ask for it one way only to have to go back...

Thanks for the replies. The artists in question own their own copyrights & the songs are also their own original compositions. Do I still need to send out a music cue sheet even though the artists in question have agreed to offer their music for terms other than royalties?

Just wondering... if you have a signed artist who has agreed to let you use their music in your film is it enough to simply have them sign the contract or is there any other body that needs to sign off on it?

Hi all, I've seen bits of this covered in a few threads but have found nothing really concrete that would answer the following question: What type of PC would be best suited to me if I wanted to edit footage shot on a Canon 60D with a view to professionally releasing it? It's not really a mish...
